Apparently, the Motor Car Reproduction Corp out of Los Angeles built a number of Thunderbird Classics in the mid 1980s that were reproductions of 1957 Thunderbird built on 1980 Ford chassis and sold at Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealers around the USA. “They did what?” This is one of those cars that elicits a spontaneous gasp from the seasoned car afficianado who assumes he knows everything about cars.
